Why You Should Watch “Game Of Thrones”

Ina Tuason

If you have never heard of “Game Of Thrones” from HBO, then you may have been living under a rock for the past year. So what is it exactly? It’s only one of the best fantasy drama series that ever hit the small screen. Based on the “A Song Of Fire And Ice” series by George R.R. Martin, the story is set in the fictional world of Westeros where whimsical things like dragons and zombies exist. It’s a political drama with a twist and there are so many reasons why you should check it out for yourself.

1. The Drama

Come on, admit it. Everyone loves to watch a good drama. this show is jam-packed full of them and it never really ends. It isn’t even the draggy, repetitive, cliche kind of drama. It’s the kind that you don’t see coming at all. Let’s see, what can we point out from this show? Incestuous relationships, intense battle scenes, a lovable imp, sly councilmen, lost souls, arranged marriages, and there’s so much more! You have to see it for yourself to get into it.

2. Tyrion Lannister

Peter Dinklage did not win a Golden Globe and an Emmy for nothing, he brought this witty character to life so effortlessly. This is probably one of the few plots where an imp comes out as a strong and engaging character. If he is not enough to get you addicted to this show, then I don’t know what is. This character alone makes the show a 100% more entertaining.

3. Dragons

Need I say more? When was the last time you watched a good show that had dragons in it? And these aren’t even the cute kind of dragons that you see in kid’s T.V. These are big a** fire breathing monsters that will bring down your village without mercy. The dragons in the series though are not that big yet, *spoilers* they just hatched, so you have to keep watching to watch them grow up.

 4. The Art

This is a television show that is shot in a cinematic scale. Which means that   the costumes, sets, and art direction are absolutely stunning. You will really feel like you are entering another world. The photo to the left is obviously CGI, but you have to admit that it looks pretty real.

 5. It’s really just a bloody good time.

If you are looking a show that will reinvent the way you view television, then you know that Game of Thrones is the perfect choice for you. You will not only get an unlimited supply of perfectly written story lines, but you will also watch character developments that will leave you attached and wanting more.
